The Deines Cultural Center is a cooperative effort of the City of Russell, Kansas and and Friends of the Deines Cultural Center, Inc., a nonprofit Kansas corporation.
Daily management and operations are handled by a dedicated staff, led by its Director Nancy Selbe. Kay Homewood effectively manages many roles, including Reception Assistant, Deines Cultural Center Advocate and volunteer.
Bruce Berg, part-time Docent, capably guides visitors, groups and schools on tours through the cultural and historical collections of the Deines Cultural Center. Gordon Mai, Deines official photographer, covers our events—exhibits and gallery shows, workshops and presentations, concerts and jam sessions, and more.
Our staff welcomes your visit to the Deines Cultural Center and KoKo, our friendly Deines gallery dog, will make you feel right at home. We invite you to join us at the many artistic and educational events hosted by the Center and to be a part of the rich cultural life in Russell, Kansas.
