Acoustic Jam Session NEXT SUNDAY

“Pickin’ at the Deines”, the monthly acoustic jam session and covered dish supper is next Sunday, September 28th at the Deines Cultural Center, 820 N. Main in Russell. Usually scheduled for the third Sunday of the month, this month’s jam session is scheduled for the fourth Sunday due to the Walnut Valley Bluegrass Festival which is attended by many of the musicians.

Nancy Selbe, Director of the Deines Cultural Center, is emphasizing that the jam sessions are strictly acoustic. Musicians are asked to bring only acoustic instruments and no amplification.

Gathering for the pickin’ starts at 3:00, with a break for a pot luck supper around 5:00. Listeners and musicians are asked to bring food to share and their own table service.
