The Annual Russell Area Artists Exhibit

“Local Color”, the annual Russell Area Artists Exhibit will be at the Deines Cultural Center from June 29 through July 27, 2008.  The opening reception is this Sunday, June 29th, from 2:00-4:00 pm.

Works in oil and acrylics, pastels, and colored pencil, photography, porcelain, iron, digital work and mixed media pieces will be shown from over twenty-five different Russell area artists.

Exhibiting artists from Russell include Jackie Burton, Edna Giebler, John Gruenwald, Trece Hart, Thelma Hutchinson, Ronn Raymer and Jane Uphoff. 

Artists Kathy Gregory, Assaria, Kevin Lundy and Gordon Mai, Wilson and Marcy Nagel, LaCrosse have contributed work, along with Carolyn Bigham, Tess Dunkel-McKnight and Don and Lynne Wright from Luray. Jim Schiels and Eric Abraham, Lucas are exhibiting, as well as Mary Johnson Salina and Vicki Roberts from Paradise. 

Artists from Great Bend that will be showing in “Local Color” include Joyce Barker and Char Brown.  Hays artists include Jack Logan, Tina Nipper-Hagley and Linda Wood. Carolyn Nuzium and Larry Zvolanek from Osborne are showing their paintings.
