Roles have been cast and rehearsals are now underway for the Russell Community Theater’s Fall production, "Everybody Loves Opal."
The fall show, "Everybody Loves Opal" directed by Mitch Hunsley will run September 23 - 27, 2008 at the Ruppenthal Middle School at the corner of 4th and Elm in Russell Kansas.
Cast for the play includes Nancy Selbe as Opal, PT Cruiser as Mister Tanner, Mary Keeler as Gloria, Alan Templeton as Bradford, Bob Roe as Soloman, Jeffrey Burkhead as the Officer and Maribeth Foster as the Doctor. This is an endearing show about loveable Opal and the three rogues who attempt to take advantage of her good nature.
This show is being produced by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service Inc.
Russell Community Theater is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit, corporation that was organized in 1986. Its ultimate governing body is its stockholders, of whom there are currently 20. The theater's Board of Directors is elected annually by the stockholders. The sole purpose of RCT is to produce theater for the community and surrounding area. The theater is supported financially solely through the sale of tickets to its productions and by gifts from those supportive of community theater and the arts generally. RCT has offices, a warehouse, and scene shop located at 839 Main, Russell.
